SIMOSHILE' - A Xhosa word meaning 'Beautiful Feelings', is the feeling we hope you get when you stay with us.

We have tried to ensure that everything about Candlewood Lodge, pays justice to its beautiful setting, with its breathtaking views over the shimmering estuarine Lagoon below, and out through the famous Knysna Heads to the Sea., and thus, we hope makes our guests feel extra special.

Whether it's an annual Holiday, your Honeymoon, Anniversary, Golfing Trips, your first trip abroad or mini Safaris, you will find it in Knysna, considered to be the Heart of the famous Garden Route.

Your Hosts, Joyce and Graham Greenwood, originally from South Derbyshire England designed and constructed Candlewood Lodge to meet their own exacting standards and guests will, therefore, feel totally at home in this sumptuous Lodge. Each spacious guest room is tastefully appointed in different styles so guests can choose which best suits them.

ACCOMMODATION

Bed & Breakfast
Candlewood Lodge has 6 spacious en-suite bedrooms, all ultra modern, three of which have their own balcony with stunning views across the Lagoon to the Heads and out to sea. All the rooms have their own decks and private entrances.

Self Catering Suite
In addition we have a large self-catering suite, consisting of a spacious lounge, which has two single beds, a leather suite and kitchen area plus separate bedroom with queen sized bed and very spacious walk in shower bathroom.

Great care has been paid to ensure your comfort, so all rooms have superior Beds, complimented with the finest linen. Each room, of course, has complimentary tea/coffee facilities, heating and cooling, TV, DVD players, wall safes, hairdryers and armchairs etc.

Candlewood Lodge is situated in Knysna close to all amenities and 10 minutes from the nearest beach and other activities; Of course, it goes without saying, that when you just want to relax the Lodge is perfect, with its large indoor atrium beautifully appointed with tranquil palms, white furniture and elegant bar, its lovely swimming pool, large sundecks for sunbathing, and heated Jacuzzi where you can relax, with a glass of chilled Champagne and enjoy the most glorious sunsets..

Directions

From Cape Town: Take the N2 to George and continue along it to Knysna town. Go through the town centre until you pass the local hospital on your left, carry on to the Kwik Spar on the Right. At the traffic light turn left. You will see a block of apartments in front of you which are painted blue. Take a left in front of them. Then take the next left into Stinkwood Crescent. We are number 8 just on the crest. From Port Elizabeth: Take the N2 to Plettenberg bay and continue on it towards Knysna. You will see the lagoon from the crest of the hill just as you pass by the local township. At the bottom of the hill you will reach a traffic light by the Caltex garage, turn right.
