The house is set back from the road with well kept lawns and flower beds while the back rolls down to the river with an attractive duck pond, here guests can enjoy tea in the garden and enjoy the superb view of the Sleeping Beauty mountain peak.
Our bedrooms are large, with high, beamed ceilings, wall heaters ensure your comfort in winter and ceiling fans cool the air in summer.
Riversdale has excellent restaurants but a candlelight dinner with your hosts is an option which has led many of our guests to return. This does need to be pre booked.

Sleeping Beauty Guest House is situated in Long Street, the oldest street in the town where much restoration has taken place. This gracious home, built in 1880 as a Victorian parsonage, has been lovingly restored and offers guests superior accommodation in large well appointed en suite rooms. The focus of our guest house is concentrated on the comfort of our guests who can be assured of a warm welcome and personal attention from their hosts, Jinja and Monica. The house stands amid a hectare of land in a colourful garden with a river boundary and has panoramic views of the Langeberg Mountains and Sleeping Beauty Mountain Peak, after which our Guest House has been named. Guests can enjoy tea in the garden overlooking the adjacent riding school where the horses and riding pupils provide a great source of interest and entertainment. AttractionsRiversdale has earned its name as the Floral Paradise of the Garden Route because of the abundance of indigenous flora in the surrounding areas. The scenic route through the Garcia Pass into the Little Karoo is a favourite destination for the fynbos enthusiast. Various fynbos export farms offer guided tours. For the more adventurous there are hiking trails, 4 x 4 trails, abseiling, and horseback safaris and safe cycling routes. The town also boasts a picturesque 9 hole golf course where visitors are welcome. Impressive examples of South African art can be viewed at the Julius Gordon Africana Centre which is internationally known as one of its kind in the country and is situated in Long Street, a short walk from the Guest House. Still Bay and Witsand with their beautiful beaches are only a short drive away and offer great whale watching in season. So bring your golf clubs, binoculars and hiking boots and experience country life the South African way.
