Our PANORAMA RESTAURANT has a 180 degree view over the Atlantic and the OVERBERG Mountain Range.
It is a stylish restaurant with a harmonious setting, air conditioning and under-tile heating, a séparé for private parties up to 6 persons, and a cosy fireplace.

Our PANORAMA Restaurant will be open from October 2009 - Guests & visitors welcome !

There are many activities and things to do in our area. They are as varied as you could wish.
Below are some of them for your information:

Walker Bay offers various excellent whale watching spots. The closest is a few minutes drive from Bellavista, the top of the cliffs of De Kelders.
Whale season is between June and December.

Interesting cruises to the Deyer and Geyser islands where you will observe Cape Fur Seals, Penguins, Kormorans, Large Seagulls and a host of other animals. These cruises include viewing and/or diving the Great White Shark from submerged safe metal cages.

Walker Bay, the lagoon and the Kleinriver area are famous for bird watchers with nearby town of Stanford declared as " bird watchers paradise of the Overberg". Various nature reserves nearby invite you to explore the local fauna and flora.

Our property of 300 hectares offers private hiking and jogging trails with plenty of bird and animal watching, in the middle of the real "Fynbos Kingdom"..Feel free to pick the flowers that you like most as an ever-lasting souvenir from our beautiful area.

On the more leisurely side, our heated over-flow swimming pool, featuring a martini bench with bubbles and massage jets is at your disposal the year round.

The comfortable deck chairs around the pool area invite you to read a book, to sip a lovely South African wine or simply to snooze away and relax.
Day trips to Cape L'Agulhas -the tip of Africa, Arniston, Hermanus, the coastal winelands, Greyton and other places of interest.

Cruises on the Klein River and the Lagoon nearby as well as kayaking on the open sea during which you will enjoy the varying scenery enormously.

An off-road 4 by 4 on a private farm up into the Overberg is available for the adventurous ones. (Own suitable 4x4 required, no renting available yet.)

Fishing in the Lagoon, from the boat in the open sea or from the rocks as well as horse back riding are also exciting activities available in our area.

Hermanus features one of the most famous and beautiful golf courses in the country (Several other beautiful Golfcourses are also available in the Area) and has an interesting Craft market and nearby Caledon is well known for its hot springs and it's casino of international standards.

We would be glad to organise any of the above activities for you.

THE MOUNTAIN COTTAGE
The MOUNTAIN COTTAGE, comprises lounge, kitchen, and en-suite bedroom. A second area on the mezzanine level provides sleeping for children or two adults. The patio has outdoor furniture and BBQ facilities.

SEA VIEW SUITES
Our Guest House faces the vast expansion of the Atlantic ocean and the majestic Overberg mountain
ranges to enable you to enjoy the rich view of Walker Bay. You will be enchanted by spectacular and dramatic sunsets, either from the comfort of your easy chair of from the patio.

Each of the two LUXURY SUITES has a large lounge, spacious bedroom
with a luxurious bathroom en-suite, and private patio with garden furniture.

They are equipped with TV, fireplace, kitchenette with microwave, 'fridge etc.
Private parking and separate entry for each accommodation.

In the same Guesthouse we offer a JUNIOR SUITE,
en-suite, with a relax Sitting area, large bedroom, and TV.

Directions

COMING FROM THE GARDEN ROUTE (N2): Go to and through REVIERSONDEREND. After approx. 10 km turn LEFT into R326 "Stanford". Drive about 60 km and you arrive on a STOP just in front of Stanford. Turn LEFT (do not enter the village) and proceed on the R43 towards Gansbaai (away from Hermanus) for 8 km. You will see panels on your left hand side indicating Bellavista followed by a large white gate on which is written Bellavista country place, and which is flanked by two flagpoles. Go through the gate and up on the private, tarred driveway. HERE we are. 2) COMING FROM CAPE TOWN, the AIRPORT, SOMMERSET WEST or STELLENBOSCH: Go on to the highway N2, away from Cape Town, to Sommerset West. Drive for approx. 100 km until "EXIT No. 90 Hermanus" and proceed on this road (R43) to and through Hermanus. From Hermanus continue for 32 km, pass Stanford, towards Gansbaai. You will see panels on your left hand side indicating Bellavista followed by a large, white gate on which is written Bellavista Country Place , and which is flanked by two flagpoles. Go through the gate and up on the private, tarred driveway. HERE we are.
