The Owl's Nest wedding and conference centre lies in the rolling hills of the Magaliesberg, approximately 20 minutes east of Pretoria and 50 minutes from Johannesburg in Gauteng. Charming, rustic, warm & distinctive aptly describes The Owl’s Nest wedding chapel, with its wooden pews and exposed timber rafters framed with picturesque huge glass windows. Our chapel is not affiliated to any particular denomination, allowing you to marry without any restrictive customs

Your ceremony will continue with a culinary feast in the form of a buffet, of your choice, promising to please the most discerning palette. The dance floor is strategically positioned so as not to disturb, but rather enhance, the atmosphere of the dining area. A covered verandah surrounding the banquet hall, leads to a lantern lit garden and open wooden deck, which adds to the ambience of your special event.

The Owl's Nest chapel and banquet hall seat up to 200 guests. Although the chapel is spacious, it can easily be transformed into a smaller, more intimate ceremony with the strategic placement of plants and timber latticed screens.

The Chapel

Our chapel is not affiliated with any particular denomination, allowing the couple to marry without any restrictive customs. Charming, distinct and quaint fail to describe the chapel with its wooden benches, exposed timber roof rafters and huge glass windows framing a picturesque backdrop.

CUISINE

The ceremony will be concluded with a culinary feast in the form of a buffet served from our brilliantly designed area, complimenting the presentation of the cuisine, which promises to please the most discerning palette. CONFERENCES

As a conference venue, The Owl's Nest promises the perfect corporate getaway, within convenient distance of all centres. A fully equipped conference centre, suitable for corporate functions, product launches and seminars, form part of The Owl's Nest superb day conference facilities. Set amidst natural bush with its tranquil atmosphere, conducive to both concentration and relaxation.

During the conference breaks, attendants will be treated to snacks and a light lunch, on our covered balcony, overlooking natural bush. The bush boma, nestled at the foot of the Magaliesberg is perfect for unwinding after a full day's activity enjoying communal drinks or an afternoon braai.

Directions

From Pretoria travel on the N4 (east) towards Bronkhorstspruit until you reach the Boschkop/Donkerhoek off-ramp (no18) (tollgate). Take the off-ramp, turn left at the T-junction on top of the bridge. Travel 300m to the next T-junction, turn right onto Old Pretoria/Bronkhorstspruit road towards Bronkhorstspruit. Continue for +- 5,5km, turn left onto dirt road at the OWL’S NEST – sign. Travel +-800m, turn right at paved road at OWL’S NEST sign & continue +-400m. Or: To avoid the toll gate,take the Hans Strijdom off-ramp and turn left at the traffic circle. Continue to the four way stop and turn right. Travel +/- 12.5km, turn left onto a dirt road at the OWL’S NEST sign. Travel +/- 800m, turn right at 3rd dirt road at OWL’S NEST sign & continue +/- 400m to venue.
